It’s been a while since I actually shared some of the things I have been making. Even though you can see what I have finished on the side bar here I thought it might be time to put them all in one place.
My Cozy Memory/ Sock yarn blanket has grown and at last count was 148 squares. And even better all of the ends are woven in too.
As a knitter I am not much of a fan of blocking but I finally got around to blocking my Winter is Coming Shawl by Sally Cameron and it looks great. The pattern was fun and not too difficult to do. This is my first project that had a lot of lace in it. I love how it turned out. I wasn’t sure about the wool when I chose it but I do love it. It is Solar Flair Fibres Heart Reef colorway.
This is my hat I made for my trip to Bendigo. The Australian Sheep and Wool Show is held in July so still winter here and Bendigo is notorious for how cold it can get. So I made this hat out of handspun merino from Raxor. The pattern I used is the Knit Night Hat by Judy Marples. It is not as slouchy as the pattern as I thought I was running out of wool.
And here is the cowl I made to match my Bendigo hat. This is also made from handspun yarn from Raxor and is appropriately named the Squishy Soft Cowl
So that is some of my current projects. I will be back to update more later… time to watch the new Doctor Who episode
