Finish or Frog it KAL

Late last year Bunniphish from Ravelry had a Knit A Long/ Craft along called “Finish it or Frog it” with the premise being that you get out your unfinished Works in Progress, or WIPs, and either Finish it or pull them out to reclaim the wool for another project.

At the time when she did it I only had one project going so I couldn’t participate but loved the idea. What better motivation to get out those projects sitting on the shelf languishing.

The rules for this KAL are simple. Your projects have to be finished between 1st September – 30th November 2015 and you have to have done knitting/crochet/spinning/weaving in that time to be eligible. Weaving in ends to finish doesn’t count. If you decide to frog your work (“rippit rippit”) you need to show the project then the wool you have undone. (There are other rules about posting pics but for the point of this post they aren’t relevant.)

Fast forward to this year and how my crafting has changed. I have quite a few projects that really need some love. Another part I love about this is I can add projects as time goes on if I want. You only get bonus entries if the project was started before 1st September

So  have picked out 2 projects I want to finish. One is a cardigan I was making for the Little Miss. It has been sitting for ages. Basically because I really don’t like it but the Little Miss loves it so struggling through it. And the other is my Typhoon Shawl designed by Geoknitrix designs. This one has been sent to the naughty corner because the stitch count is way off and I don’t want to have to rip it out to fix it. Will deal with it when I feel better

Wish me luck
